RECYCLING, RECOVERY

WASTE OIL RECYCLING

Being classified as hazardous, waste oils are collected in order to avoid contamination of the environment and to recover their value. Having been treated in a multi-stage process on our proprietary recycling technology, the recovered oils are brought back to the market and sold to end-users.

Recycled products:

OLEPAL V1 (heavy fuel oil)

OLEPAL V2 (light fuel oil) 

OLEPAL P2 (process oil)

WASTE SOLVENTS RECOVERY SOLUTIONS

Solvent recovery is a process of extracting useful materials from waste generated during the manufacturing process. DETOX uses several methods to extract solvents, e.g. atmospheric distillation, fractional distillation, azeotropic distillation, filtration, etc. Recovered products can be returned to customer for reuse, or we can take the ownership of the waste and re-purpose them ourselves.

Examples of waste solvents suitable for regeneration:

 

gasoline, toluene, xylene, acetone

WASTE RECOVERY

COMBUSTION ENGINE OIL FILTERS RECOVERY

Used combustion engine oil filters are processed in DETOX's proprietary technology OTTO, located in Rimavská Sobota. Oil filters are taken apart with metals and oils being main recovered components.

FLUORESCENT LAMPS RECOVERY

Because they contain mercury, fluorescent lamps are classified as hazardous waste. For their treatment, DETOX uses its proprietary technology FLOTUREC in Banska Bystrica. Fluorescent lamps are crushed in a closed environment and mercury is chemically stabilised reacting with sodium sulfide. The product of the reaction is very insoluble mercuric sulfide that is harmless to health and to the environment. While mercury stabilisation is the main goal of the process, glass and aluminium are being produced as recovered materials.
